Delpha Guinn Price, Piney Flats

PINEY FLATS — Delpha Guinn Price, 91, of Piney Flats, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012, at her residence.
She was a native of Sullivan County and was born on October 3, 1920, to the late Cleveland Martin Guinn and Easter Guy Guinn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estel Vestel Price; son, R.K. Price; brothers, J.D., Eugene, Monell, Hanzel and Delmar Guinn; and sisters, Evon Collins and Frannie Treadway.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Delpha is survived by her daughters, Gladys Symonds, Blanche Cross, Betty Hale, Wanda Chambers and Sandra Sinard, all of Piney Flats, TN, Ruby Kirkland, of Columbia, TN, and Judy Carver, of Blountville, TN; sisters, Janet Marvin, Ruth Ann Leach and Irene Saulsburry; brothers, R.M., Vance and Roy Gene Guinn; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Estel Williams officiating.
The committal service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Shipley Cemetery, in Hickory Tree, TN. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, and alternate will be special friends.
