Constance Myers, Gray

Constance S. “Connie” Myers, 69, Gray, TN, entered into rest, Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN.
Mrs. Myers was a native of Iron Gate, VA, and had lived in Gray for the past 21 years.
She was a daughter of the late James Edward and Emma Louise Tolley Scruggs and was also preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Mable and Carlton Jackson.
Mrs. Myers was an active member of Boone Trail Baptist Church and served as college teacher and director, senior adult teacher and leader, sang in the choir and as discipleship director. She was a teacher, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who gave selflessly to any and all who had need.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert S. Myers; one son, James Darrell Myers and wife, Laura, Elyria, Ohio; one daughter, Pamela Dance and husband, Bryan, Jonesborough, TN; one brother, Keith Scruggs and wife, Chery, Lynchburg, VA; five grandchildren, Jonathan Myers, Jamie Myers, Julianne Myers, Macey Dance and Makenna Dance; and special nieces, Shannon Llewellyn and husband, Scott, and Emily Crowder and husband, Brian.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, until a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City, TN. Reverend Ryan Epps will officiate.
Interment services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Johnson City, TN. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pall bearers will be J. D. Myers, Bryan Dance, Jamie Myers, David Good, Wayne Bledsoe, Don Dwyer, Brian Crowder and Scott Llewellyn.
