Clifford Miller, ERWIN

Clifford Miller, age 95, 2140 Chestoa Pike, Erwin, went home to be with the Lord at 5:06 A.M. Saturday, February 11, 2012, in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Miller was born in Yancey County, North Carolina, but had lived in Unicoi County most of his life. He was a son of the late John and Huldia Webb Miller. Mr. Miller retired from Clinchfield Railroad after many years of service as a track foreman.
Mr. Miller was a founding member and has served as a deacon of Unaka Springs Free Will Baptist Church from the time it was established. He loved to garden and had a great love for flowers.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by two daughters, Hilda J. Miller and Wanda M. Miller
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 71 years, Hazel Bailey Miller; one daughter, Jacqueline Laws; one son, Clifford Joseph Miller; one granddaughter, India Laws; three great grandchildren; one brother, Ulis Miller and wife, Faye, all of Erwin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service for Mr. Miller will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in Unaka Springs Free WIll Baptist Church. Reverend J.C. Sheets and Reverend Terry Richardson will officiate. Special music will be provided by Sandy Tipton.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Miller, Ronnie Laws, Doug Bowman, Michael Foster, Wayne Foster and William Banner. His body will be placed in the church for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 13, 2012, at the funeral home and other times at the family home, 2140 Chestoa Pike, Erwin.
