Hazel Wright, Johnson City

Hazel Mae Bott Wright, 85, Johnson City, entered into rest, Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Maple Grove Nursing Home, Lebanon, VA.
Mrs. Wright was a native of Abingdon, VA, and had lived in Johnson City for several years.
She was a daughter of the late James Luther Bott and Sally Ann Ingle Bott and was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Wright; one daughter, Joyce Ann Wright Lewis; and one grandson, Charles F. Lewis.
Mrs. Wright was a retired registered nurse and a former employee of Erwin Rescue Squad, Industrial Garments and several nursing homes.
She loved playing the piano and organ for church organizations and the joy of her life was caring for others.
Mrs. Wright is survived by three sons, John R. Wright Jr., Erwin, James Luther Wright, Johnson City, and Billy Joe Wright, Chuckey; three daughters, Judy Mae Wright Harris, Erwin, Teresa Sue Wright Garrett, Bowden, GA, and Janie Evylnn Wright Flanery, Erwin; and several grandchildren and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2012, until a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City. Reverend William Lunsford will officiate.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Marcus Wright, James L. Wright, Tommy Roark, Billy Bott, Rick Jenkins and Mike Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Townsend and Ernie Stoltzfus.
