Lola Parks, Johnson City

Lola Delores Parks was laid to rest on February 7, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born in Hickory, NC, and was a long time resident of Johnson City.
She worked at Southeastern Color Graphics for 14 years until she retired.
She was preceded into death of her father, Jake Parks; mother, Gwendolyn Parks; her grandparents, Lawrence and Elease Hamilton; and her son, William Grant Parks.
She leaves behind, 3 daughters, Lori, Genna and Chaka Parks; 4 sisters, Mary Ann Dabbs, Louise Blair, Willie Martin and Barbara Christman; 1 brother, Charles Parks; 10 grand children; and 1 great grand child; several nieces and nephews; 2 special friends, Lisa  Duryder and the Gloria Hollaway family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 10, 2012, at Grace Temple Church, Eternal Life Center, 208 Garden Drive, with Pastor Mark Redd officiating.
Burial to follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 PM prior to the services at the church and at other times at the home of a daughter, Lori Parks, 525 Washington Ave.
