Charlotte Burton, Johnson City

Charlotte Wheeler Burton, 86, Johnson City, entered into rest Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in Greeneville, TN.
Mrs. Burton was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City.
She was a daughter of the late George and Esther Woodby Wheeler and was also preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Burton; one brother, Carl Wheeler; and three sisters, Grace Booher, Susie Baxley and Gladys Woodby.
Mrs. Burton was a retired telephone company employee.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Johnson City.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Paul Booher; nieces and nephews, Mary Booher, Paul Booher Jr., Pamela Tittle, Charlotte Buckner and Sharon Swartz.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2012, until a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City. Mr. John Love, minister, will officiate.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Johnson City. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery.
