Roy Reese, Watauga

WATAUGA — Roy Monroe Reese, 67, of Watauga, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was a native of Johnson City and a son of the late Bill and Ava Boone Reese.
Roy had worked for the Norfolk-Southern Railroad as an Operations Supervisor.
Mr. Reese loved his job and was a person with a big heart.
Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Eva Hoyle Reese; and is survived by their daughter, Annissa Cauble and her husband, Chris, of Jonesborough. He was also preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Jannie Reese; and their daughter, Laura Reese. Surviving daughters are Kristi Fisher and Wendy Reese. Additional survivors are several grandchildren; six brothers, Bill Jr., Carroll, Jerry, Terry, Raymond and Cecil; several nieces and nephews.
His daughter, Annissa, would like to bestow a big thank-you to Debbie Wilson, Jack Dempsey and Joe Collins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012, from the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Dr. Michael Oaks will officiate.
Burial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am on Friday. Pallbearers will be Terry Reese, Chris Cauble, Charlie Cauble, Jack Dempsey, Roger Birchfield and Joe Collins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
