Larry Laws, ERWIN

Larry D. Laws, 66, Erwin, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was a Johnson City native and a son of the late John R. and Lucy Webb Laws.
Larry was U.S. Navy veteran and worked as a plumber for many years.
He was a Baptist.
Larry enjoyed painting, drawing and watching westerns on television.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Laws, Johnson City, and Jerry Laws and wife, Melissa, Erwin; two daughters, Kim Blevins, Johnson City, and Priscilla Sims, Elizabethton; five brothers, Bobby Laws, Wayne Laws and wife, Louise, Billy Laws and wife, Peggy, Ricky Laws and Michael Laws, all of Johnson City; five sisters, Joyce Harmon, Orlando FL, Priscilla Southworth, Baltimore, MD, Jane Laws, Erwin, Linda Ward, Johnson City, and Patricia Isaac and husband, Leonard, Detroit, MI; special nephew, Ryan Laws; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Laws will be conducted Monday, February 6, 2012, at 2:00 PM in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Estep officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00-2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
The graveside committal service with military honors will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery. The date and time are not yet finalized. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
