Steven Tester, Mountain City

MOUNTAIN CITY — Steven Wayne Tester, age 46, of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee, and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
He was born on August 23, 1965, to Frank Tester and Barbara Thompson Dunn. Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hunter and Vista Thompson and Lon and Ora Tester; and a half-brother, Matthew Wesley Dunn.
He was employed at Jacobs Field Services as a welder and pipe fitter.
He loved outdoor sports, especially fishing. Above all, Steven had a tremendous love for his son, Ethan. He also loved his grandparents very much and always enjoyed spending time with them.
Steven is survived by his father and step-mother, Frank and Laura Tester, of Mountain City, TN; his mother, Barbara Thompson Dunn and fiancé, Frank Andrews, of Unicoi, TN; son, Ethan Wayne Tester, of Mountain City, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Woods and husband, Brad, of Mountain City, TN; half brother, Michael Styers, of Nashville, TN; and one niece, Savannah Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Norman to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
