Gerald Ladich, Johnson City

Gerald Paul “Jerry” Ladich, 84, 717 Ferndale Rd., Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012, of natural causes at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Ladich was a native of Akron, OH, and had been a resident of Johnson City since 1970.
He was the son of the late Paul J. and Katherine Soos Ladich.
Mr. Ladich was a World War II Army Veteran, where he served in Germany.
Following his honorable discharge as a Sergeant in the Army, he attended the University of Akron, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
Mr. Ladich was employed as an Independent Sales Representative, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Johnson City Civitan Club and a very active member of the Johnson City Senior Center.
Mr. Ladich was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Seidor.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; three daughters, Marlene West and husband, David, Mary Ann Bush and husband, John, and Mary Katherine Holley and husband, Charles; one son, Robert P. Ladich and wife, Tamara; three grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell, James West and wife, Ashley, and Katherine West; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Campbell and Chloe Campbell.
The graveside committal service, in which friends are welcome to attend, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday in Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military Honors being accorded by the Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 and members of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Those planning to attend are to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 P.M.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Ladich residence.
In-lieu-of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 3101 Browns Mill Rd, STE 6, PMB 321, Johnson City, TN 37604.
