James D. "Jim" Wilson III, NASHVILLE

NASHVILLE — Jim Wilson, age 55, formerly of Johnson City, TN, passed away Dec. 23rd, 2011, in Nashville, TN.
He was a native of Washington County and a son of the late James D. “Jim” Wilson Jr. and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” McKamey Wilson.
Jim graduated from Science Hill High School in 1975. He served in the US Navy from May 1975 to May 1979. He attended ETSU. He worked as a land surveyor for a number of years and also studied law. In his spare time he enjoyed sailing in the Atlantic Ocean.
Jim had a personality that drew people to him. He had many friends scattered across the United States from Florida to California and will be missed by all. Special thanks to Lynne, Yavonne and Ginger for their love and support over the years.
Thanks to Fountain of Life Bible Church and Munsey Memorial Methodist Church, along with others who provide ministries that are faithful to scatter seeds at the Mountain City Correctional Institute, Jim received his salvation 7 June 2011 and is now at peace with his heavenly Father.
Jim is survived by a brother, Jerry Mack Wilson and wife, Ruth, of Jonesborough, TN.
A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday January 17th at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Crutchfield officiating. Anyone wishing to attend this service should arrive at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m.
