Alice Loveless, JOHNSON CITY

Mrs. Alice Shell Loveless, 72, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late H.T. and Arlie Perry Shell and was born in Carter County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joseph Stover.
She was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and attended East Tennessee State University. While Alice worked as a secretary and later in insurance sales, as a mother, wife, daughter, sister and grandmother; her greatest and most valued occupation was a loving caregiver. Mrs. Loveless was a member of Lone Oak Christian Church in Johnson City.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Loveless, of the home; one son, Mark William Stover and his wife, Caryn, Weaverville, NC; one grandson, Garrett Michael Stover, Weaverville, NC; two brothers, Ralph Shell, Johnson City, and her twin brother, Albert Shell, Gray; and a step-daughter, Tina Cook, Kingsport. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The memorial service for Mrs. Loveless will be conducted on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at 4:00 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton, with Mr. Tad Johnson, minister, officiating.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 3:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday prior to the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Shell, David Shell, Walter Shell, Billy Barnes and Sean Harris.
