Frances Christine Brewer, Jena, La.

Frances Christine (Andrews) Brewer, age 86, of Jena, Louisiana went home to be with her Lord, Saturday January 7, 2012 in Urania, Louisiana.

She was born in Nickel, Louisiana on March 13, 1925 to the union of Rev. Stantford L. and Rosa (Roark) Andrews. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Carolyn Rose Andrews.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Verden H. Brewer of Jena; a daughter, Glenda Laing and husband Donnie of Harrisonburg; two sons, Donnie Brewer and wife Shirley and Reggie Brewer both of Jena; two sisters, Mallie Lewis of Harrisonburg and Ernestine Poole of Jena; two brothers, Ronald Andrews and Max Andrews both of Jena; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church of Jena with Pastor Crawford Coon, Pastor Kevin Greene, and Pastor Daniel McClure officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Memorial Cemetery of Jena under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Andrews, Jimmy Lewis, Jason Tannehill, Travis Hudson, David Bradford, Steve Hebert,
and Kenny Greene. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Bradford, James Brewer, L.C. Coon, Charles Mills, Norris Elliott, Donnie Laing, Jr., and Bingo Brewer.

Friends may call at the church until service time Monday.
