Jackye Seals, LENEXA, Kan.

Jackye LaRaye Seals, 80, Lenexa, KS, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10th, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd St. Overland Park, KS.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the Church.
Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105; or to the Church.
Jackye was born September 22, 1931, in Pampa, TX, to Ulysses and Minnie Belle (Fulks) Ables. She graduated from Our Lady of Victory High School in Ft. Worth, TX, and attended Texas Christian University.
She joined the Navy in August 1952, where she was an Instrument Flying Instructor. Jackye worked at J.C. Penney in administration for 15 years before retiring.
She was a very sophisticated lady who enjoyed the arts. She also cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren.
Jackye was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phoebe Beynon.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tom; children, Karen (Don) Smith, Thomas (Chani) E. Seals III, Kathy (Tom) Kaleko; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
