Dennis Gilmore, Kingsport

KINGSPORT — Dennis Edward Gilmore, age 68, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012, at Wellmont-Holston Valley Hospital after a short illness.
He was a son of the late John S. Shelton and Lou Ona Gilmore. Mr. Gilmore attended Fountain of Life Bible Church.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Rosemary Helton Drinnon, of Rogersville, and one brother, Charles Helton, of Rogersville, preceded him in death.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Brenda Hensley Gilmore; one daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Gordon and Dr. Angela Gilmore Crews, of Huntington, W.VA.; one step son and daughter-in-law, Jason (Natasha) Hickman; one step daughter, Adria Hickman; mother and stepfather to his daughter, Edna and Rex Vance, of Gray; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Vickie Helton, of Mooresburg, TN, Rick and Kathy Helton, of Rogersville, Larry and Polly Helton, of Rogersville, Riley and Lori Helton, of Rogersville; grandchildren, Brandon Gilmore, of Greensboro, NC, LCpl. Konnor Long, of Okinawa, Japan, Caleb Hickman, Emily Condry, McKenzie Hickman.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. in the Gilmore Family Cemetery in Rogersville.
