Evan Carlton Bailey, 33 of 2908 Newman Dr. in Johnson City, TN died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, TN. Born in Johnson City January 5, 1978 he was the son of Roger C. and Barbara Belcher Bailey of Johnson City, TN. Evan was a graduate of Science Hill High School in Johnson City and earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Technology from East Tennessee State University. He had a variety of talents and interests but particularly enjoyed golf as well as a variety of musical instruments. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City, TN. His paternal grandfather, E. Woodrow Bailey and his maternal grandfather, Robert Belcher preceded him in death. In addition to his parent’s survivors include three brothers, Brad Bailey of Johnson City, Brian Bailey and his wife Marti of Knoxville, TN and Eric Bailey and his wife Kim of Telford, TN; two nieces, Natalie and Alyssa Bailey and two nephews, Julian and Gavin Bailey; paternal grandmother, Beulah Ann Bailey and maternal grandmother, Callie Belcher both of the Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Princeton. A celebration of the life of Evan Bailey will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor James C. Bullock officiating and family and friends participating. Private burial will follow in Monte Vista Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 10:00 AM to the service hour on Wednesday.
