Paul Howard Smithpeters, Jr., 45, of Johnson City, died Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a native of Johnson City, son of Joyce Green Perry and Paul H. Smithpeters, Sr. both of Johnson City.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Lula Faye Smithpeters and a daughter Jennifer Ann Smithpeters.
Paul had owned and operated two construction firms, House-Tek and Extreme Construction. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors including his parents are: a son, Jeremiah Francis, a daughter, Jessica Kay Smithpeters, two brothers, Jack Edward Smithpeters and James Daniel “Lee” Smithpeters, his grandmother, Margaret Josephine Caldwell; four step children, Jerry Bishop, Donna Parker, Tammy Parker and Hazel Shipley.
A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Washington County Memory Gardens, under the direction of Mr. Matthew Young. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. at Morris-Baker Funeral Home until time to leave in procession to the cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Following the service the family invites visitors to: his Aunt Kathy Hill’s home at, 124 Ham Hill Rd., Johnson City.
