Anna Bell Epperson, Bristol

BRISTOL — Anna Bell (Craig) Epperson, age 78, of Bristol, TN passed away on December 28, 2011 at Remington House Assisted Living in Kingsport, TN.
She was born in Bristol, TN, and was the daughter to the late Julius and Maude Leonard Craig.
Anna was a lifelong resident of the Bristol where she opened and managed the original Kay’s Ice Cream She also spent several years employed at the Bristol Regional Medical Center, and she along with her husband (John) owned Epperson Cleaning Services where they provided cleaning services for most of the major banks in Bristol. Late in her career she worked with NHC nursing home in their food services division.
Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Epperson; Sisters, Alice Vance of Bristol, TN and Adleen Lewis of Blountville, TN; brothers Bruce Craig of Alexandria Va., Charles Craig of Lake Gunnersville, Ala., John H. Craig of Bluff City, TN.
Survivors include: Sons, Johnny L. Epperson and wife Jerry of Johnson City, TN, Steve Epperson and wife Jan of Pilot Mountain, NC; Daughter, Penny Gause and husband Fred of Bluff City, TN; Brothers, Billy Joe Craig of Blountville, TN and Mack Craig of Boise, Idaho; Grandchildren, Kristy Collins and husband Rocky of Jonesboro, TN, Lyndsey Catlip of Seymour, TN, Tyler and Bronson Gause of Bluff City, TN, Steven “Craig” Epperson of Bristol, TN and Tara Epperson of Johnson City, TN; Great Grandchildren, Olivia and Taylor Denton of Jonesboro, TN and Wyatt Catlip of Seymour, TN. Several nieces and nephews.
The Epperson Family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff and residents of Remington House Assisted Living in Kingsport, TN for the care and love shown to our Mother and our entire family!
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at 12 noon at the Glenwood Mausoleum with Pastor Wayne Epperson officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11-12 prior to the service.
