Grady S. Kyte, Bluff City

Grady S. Kyte, 63, of Bluff City, TN, passed away on December 18, 2011 at Life Care of Elizabethton, TN. He was a son of the late Wesley Brown Kyte and Anna Mae Mottern Kyte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother John Wesley Kyte.
A native of Sullivan County, he moved to Johnson City, TN, October 21, 1998. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24, Johnson City, TN.
Grady is survived by three brothers, Roy Allen Kyte, Calvin Kyte and wife BellaMarie, and Billy D. Kyte; seven nieces, Alesha Kyte, Lakesha Trivette, Stephenie Sandefur, Tina Bailey, Amber Wexler, Michelle Kyte and Jennifer Kyte; and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Jerry Shaffer officiating.
The Committal and Interment will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN, with Military Rites presented by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made be sent to the Veteran’s Administration for Liver Transplants.
