Alice Fore, Johnson City

Alice Jean Duncan Fore, Johnson City, TN, formerly of Ben Hur, VA, departed this earthly life on December 10, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center 5 days shy of her 70th birthday.
She was a retired LPN who cared for patients throughout Lee County with the Lee County Health Department and later moved to Tennessee, where she was a caregiver in the Johnson City area until her declining health. Alice was of the Baptist faith.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis & Cora Duncan, of Lee County, VA. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Junior Fore and Michael Fore; brothers, George Duncan, Carl Duncan and Otis Duncan.
Alice is survived by her son, David Fore and wife, Kelly, Falls Church, VA; her daughter, Susan Fore Addington and husband, Tim, Nickelsville, VA; and her son, Jeffrey Fore and wife, Misty, Johnson City, TN; Sister, Melvie Duncan Osborne and husband, Edward, Lynchburg, VA; Brothers O.C. Duncan and wife, Connie, Goldsboro, NC, Lee Roy Duncan and wife, Eula, Goochland, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren that were her pride and joy: loving grandsons Michael D. Addington and wife, Nicole, Zachary Addington, Trever Fore and Jack Fore; and caring granddaughter, Makayla Fore.
Alice desired to help others when she departed this life by being an organ donor. She desired for her final resting place to be her childhood home of Ben Hur, VA.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday. December 16, 2011. at Copper Creek Primitive Baptist Church (Addington Frame), Addington Frame Rd., Nickelsville, VA.
The family will receive friends at anytime at the homes of her son Jeffrey Fore, Johnson City, TN, or daughter, Susan Fore Addington, Nickelsville, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the ETSU James H. Quillen College of Medicine, Box 70721, Johnson City, TN 37614.
