Richard Dale 'Dick' Nidiffer, Johnson City

Richard Dale “Dick” Nidiffer, age 65, of Johnson City, TN passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Mountain Home Veterans Hospital.
He was born May 8, 1946 to the late Lee Nidiffer and Martha McMurray Nidiffer. He was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and was an electrician for Bristol Compressors.
Mr. Nidiffer was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. He was a past Master of Zollicoffer Lodge #444 in Bluff City, TN, a member of Rolling Thunder Inc. Chapter 4 of Tennessee, and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam.
Survivors: wife: Jackie Nelson Nidiffer; daughters: Libby Booher and husband Jason, Wendy Miller; brothers: Robert Nidiffer and wife Becky, Rodney Nidiffer and wife Jeannie; sister: Patricia Herington; six grandchildren: Chris, Alex, Haylee, Chandler, Aiden, Tyler; several nieces and nephews; special friend: Blair Keens and Susan Andrews.
A Masonic service will be conducted by Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge #444 of Bluff City, TN at 8:00pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jack Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45pm prior to the funeral service. The committal service and burial will be at Mountain Home Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00am. Military Honors will be provided. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Rolling Thunder Inc.
