Richard Cash, Johnson City

Richard Lewis Cash, 82, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at his daughter’s home in Johnson City, Tennessee.
He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired from the Division of Mines, Minerals and Energy Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Rosalind Cash and his loving wife, Susan Laney Cash.
He is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Smith Lee and husband, Shane of Johnson City, Tennessee; Cathy Smith Henry and husband, Tony of Wise, Virginia and Cheryl Cash Sforzo of Avon Lake, Ohio; three brothers, Harry Cash of Lodi, Ohio; Robert Cash of Lancaster, Ohio and Donald Cash of Avon Lake, Ohio; a sister, Laura Williamson of Venice, Florida; he was a proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Christopher, Chelsea, Zachary, Kristoffer, Robby and Weston; three nephews, one niece and a host of friends and family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 7, 2011 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 1621 Norton SW Wise, Virginia.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Wise with Pastor Mike Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Laney Cemetery Wise, Virginia.
