Beatrice Gray, Gray

Beatrice B. Gray, 90, 124 Dyer Street, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native of Yancey County, North Carolina, but had lived most of her life in Washington County. Mrs. Gray was a daughter of the late James and Texana (Texie) Edwards Gibson. She was a Pentecostal by faith and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Gray, in 1983; a sister, Ada Tolley; a granddaughter, Vickey Lynn Gray; and a nephew, Gerald Tolley Jr.
Survivors include a son, James H. Gray and his wife, Louise, of Erwin; two daughters, Dorothy Harris and her husband, Berlin, and Nyoka Carmony, all of Johnson City; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; also a niece, Ann Tolley, of Erwin.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Gray will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2011, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with the Pastor Nathaniel Bailey officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from the grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11:30 until 12:30 PM then proceed to the cemetery.
