Erna Chapman, Johnson City

Erna S. Chapman, 90, passed away at 3:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Appalachian Christian Village.
Born in Tilsit, Germany, she had been a resident of the area for many years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was retired from Siemens Corporation in Germany where she was an Executive Secretary.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Leicht and husband, Stuart, of Johnson City, Barbara Miller, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Doris Barchet and husband, Richard, of Richland, Washington; Son, Donald Chapman and wife, Mary Ann, of Florida; Grandchildren, Braeden, Adrianna, Jennifer, Kenny, Heather; Two Great Grandchildren; and very close friends, Rachel and Gene Childress, of Kingsport.
The family of Erna S. Chapman will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with services following at 2:30 P.M. at the church with Rev. Steve Counts officiating.
Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Stuart Leicht, Braeden Leicht, Gene Childress and Rob Childress.
