Linda Miller, Johnson City

Linda Faye Oliver Miller, 66, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, and one brother, and was born in Carter County. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Miller loved to read and do crafts. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and wildlife. She had worked in many areas, including factory work and waitressing.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Paul Miller, of the home; four sisters, Brenda Hale and her husband, Richard, Elizabethton; Phyllis Walker and her husband, Howard, Johnson City; Peggy Norris, Knoxville; and Janice Richardson, TX; a special aunt, Geraldine Staggs, Portland, OR; two sons, Troy Wilson and his wife, Chris, St. Helens, OR; Matthew Scott Wilson, Spokane, WA; a daughter, Bridgett Renee Dorie, Portland, OR; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other aunts and uncles also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Miller will be conducted on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7:30 PM in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Mr. Terry Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday prior to the service and at the residence or the home of a sister, Phyllis Walker, at other times.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Wilson Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 AM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Miller, Eddie Miller, Bobby Miller, Jerry Campbell, Carlos McNabb, and Charles Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Whittington, Charles Whittington, Paul Oliver, Guy Oliver, Terry Oliver, Howard Walker, and Richard Hale.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 2335 Knob Creek Road, #101, Johnson City, TN 37604.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Judy Deloach and the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home and to Jerry and Vicky Campbell and all her family and friends.
