Robert Reynolds, Elizabethton

Robert Young (Bob) Reynolds went to be with the Lord Sunday November 27, 2011 at the Life Care Center, Elizabethton after a short illness.
Bob was born April 23, 1927 to Bruce and Nora Eller Reynolds. A lifelong resident of Carter County, Bob was a quiet , gentle, caring and loving person. He was loved by everyone. He spent his entire life farming. He was a member of the Carter County Farm Bureau. He served as an Engineer in the United States Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of Borderview Christian Church where he served in many ways through the years. He was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class. Bob was an avid Lady Vols Basketball fan.
Survivors include a sister & brother-in-law: Charlotte and Farrell Laws, Virginia Beach, Virginia. A Niece: Teresa Slocum and husband Scott, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Two Nephews: Mark Laws and wife Sherry, Baltimore, Maryland and Brett Laws and wife Crystal of Curritock, North Carolina. Three Great Nephews: Kyle, Austin and Aaron. Two Great Nieces: Ryan, Kelyn and One Great Great Niece: Mea and a host of cousins.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Reynolds Family Cemetery with Mr. Kirk Langston and Dr. Eddie Fine officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday will be: Mark Laws, Brett Laws, Scott Slocum, Jerry Perry, Tim Reynolds, Mike Williams, Ray Tester and Gerald Holly. Honorary pallbearers will be: Scott Reynolds, Harry Woods, Jobe Woods, Harold Wade and Ross Sams. The family will gather at the funeral home one hour prior to receive friends before traveling together in procession to the cemetery.
