Melissa Ray, Jonesborough

Melissa Dawn Ray, age 41, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011.
Ms. Ray was born in Greeneville, TN, and was the daughter of the late Ronald & Beverly Gray Ray.
In addition to her parents, Melissa was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Obie & Helen Ray; and maternal grandparents, Horace and Marguerite Gray.
Melissa was a Christian who loved the Lord and expressed that love through her beautiful singing voice in many churches in the area. She sang and performed at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Melissa was asked to perform the National Anthem at the Bristol NASCAR Race and at many other functions.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Grace Garland, Jonesborough; half-brother, Jason Ray, Jonesborough; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Limestone Church of the Brethren, ℅ Don Hilton, 785 Brethren Church Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
