Ronnie Hyder Sr., Marietta, S.C.

MARIETTA, S.C. — Ronnie Wayne Hyder Sr., age 69, of Marietta, South Carolina, formerly of Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Hope Health and Rehab in Marietta.
Mr. Hyder was born August 22, 1942. in Carter County, Tennessee. He was a son of Vergie Miller Hyder, of Adrian, Michigan, and the late Don Hyder.
Mr. Hyder was of the Baptist faith.
Other than his father, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Hyder; and brother, Howard Hyder.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hyder is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 17 years, Sandra K. Hill Hyder; three sons: Ronnie Hyder and wife, Paula, Northwood, Ohio, Rodney Hyder and wife, Jenni, and Robbie Hyder, all of Bowling Green, Ohio; one daughter, Sheila Gess and husband, Lance, Henderson, Minnesota; one step daughter, Debrah Vance Tran, Marietta, South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Amanda Cufr, Emily Jasinski, Brittany Balazs, Kristen Balazs, Madison Hyder, Payton Hyder, Presley Tran; two great grandchildren: Toby Cufr and Ruby Cufr; three brothers: Darrell Hyder and wife, Angie, Jim Hyder and wife, Joy, all of Adrian, Michigan, David Hyder and wife, Sherry, Huber Heights, Ohio; two sisters: Wilma Lindsay and husband, Russell, and Trula Frederick, all of Adrian, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral service for Mr. Hyder will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 19, 2011, in the chapel of Unicoi Funeral Home. Rev. Dallas Gregg will officiate. Special music will be provided by Margaret Gregg and Steven Nelson.
Interment will follow in Hyder Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 18, 2011, at the funeral home.
