Naomi Rotenberry, Jonesborough

Naomi “Tettle” Rotenberry, age 94, of Jonesborough, TN, went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 14, 2011, in the loving care of her family.
She was a native of Rockwood, TN, and was the daughter of the late Jessee and Mary Droke Griffin. She had lived most of her life in Bristol, VA, residing in Kingsport, TN, for the past 10 years. She was a retired employee of F.W. Woolworth. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Rotenberry Jr.; three brothers, James, Junior and Billy Griffin; and two sisters, Estelle Terry and Mildred Droke.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Matney and her husband, Steve, of Jonesborough, TN; one grandson, James Fry, of Jonesborough, TN; one granddaughter, Tammy Hurd and husband, Eddie, of Kingsport, TN; and one great-grandson, Cody Charles.
The funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gene Lasley and Dr. Jody Jenkins officiating.
The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in Mountain View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Akard Funeral Home.
