Claude Carson, Johnson City

Mr. Claude Eston Carson, age 87, Johnson City, formerly of 122 Ferguson Road, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011, at Colonial Hill Retirement Center.
Mr. Carson was a native of Washington County and son of the late Hugh and Susan Morrow Carson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carson was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Miner Carson; and three brothers, Medford Carson, Clive Carson and Herbert Carson.
He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Carson was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
He retired from Eastman Chemical Company.
Survivors include one sister, Leona Armentrout, Telford; one brother, Elmer Glee Carson, Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John A. Hackney officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
Entombment services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at East Lawn Cemetery, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Bob Miner, Tim Miner, Greg Carson, Bobby Carson, Tommy Carson, Gayle Carson, Gary Carson and Steve Carson.
