James “Jimmie” Malone, age 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 8, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mountain City, Tennessee, on July 7, 1944, and was the son of the late Charles “Gee” and Martha “Ethel” Malone. After high school, he relocated to Johnson City for about 15 years and then moved to Warren, Ohio, where he lived for 30 years.

He worked at Peerless Electric as a factory worker for many years. He also worked for Second Baptist Church Preschool before returning to Johnson City in 2002.
Upon returning to Johnson City, he became an active member of New Zion Faith Center.
He was a wonderful father, brother and friend. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and church/community activities.
A special thanks to his sister/caregiver, Susie Rollins, and the staff of DaVita Dialysis Center, ETSU Physicians Group and Johnson City Medical Center, who were all very instrumental in his care.
