Raymond Daniel “Hoot” Gibson, 87, Limestone, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton We d n e s d ay, November 9, 2011 at 7PM with Preacher Ron Gass and Preacher Bob Richards officiating.

Graveside Service Thursday at 11:00 AM in Gibson Cemetery in Watauga Flats, TN.

Survivors: Wife of 45 years: Wanda Gibson; Daughters & Sons in law: Debbie Haney, Sharon & Phil Fletcher, Julia Gibson Peters, and Laura & Shaun Hinkle; Grandchildren: Cptn. Matthew Fletcher, Daniel Fletcher, Logan Peters, Phillip Peters, Derek Hinkle, Catera Hinkle, Damien Fletcher, Ashley Fletcher; Sister: Zella Rodefer; Brother & Sister in Law: Roger & Dorothy Gibson; Sister in Law: Lois Hettie Gibson; Nieces & Nephews: Martha, Mark and Paula Reed, Roger Gibson, Phillip Gibson, Jan & Bill Blankenship, Ann & Eddie Lee, Joel & Debbie Rodefer, Ed & Delene Gibson, and Greg Gibson Special Thanks to a Special Niece: Dr. Mary Jane Gibson.

He was a member of Fall Branch Christian Church.

He was retired from Greene County Bank after 20 years of service.

Mr. Gibson was a veteran of the United States Army

Mr. Gibson loved farming, gardening, and enjoyed feeding his fish. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-3 & 4-7 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton.
