Virginia Foster, SUMMERVILLE, Ga.

Virginia Calhoun Capps “Bibo” Foster, 89, passed away November 4, 2011, in a Rome, GA, hospital, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Foster was born in Dante, VA, to Glen & Pearl Calhoun on January 26, 1922. She lived most of her life in Erwin, TN.
Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dana H. Capps; a brother, John Calhoun; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Kelly.
Mrs. Foster was a member of Grace Methodist Church until their move to Mt. Carmel, TN, in 1999, where they became members of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She was a member of Erwin’s Business & Professional Women’s Club where she served as an officer. She worked many years at Davis Shoe Store and retired from Hoover Ball, both in Erwin.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her husband of 43 years, Pat Foster; 2 daughters: Phyllis (Roger) Kelly, Summerville, GA, Sherry (Buddy) Windle, Summerville, GA; two stepsons: Mike Foster, Bunn, NC, Donny (Linda) Foster, Jonesborough, TN; eight grandchildren: Jeff Kelly, Slinger, WI, Greg (Julie) Kelly, Dallas, TX, David (Kristi) Kelly, Macon, GA, Dee Windle, Summerville, GA, Dana Mosley, Trion, GA, Kim James, Summerville, GA, Patricia J. Foster, Bunn, NC, and Tonya Wrey Edens, Middlesex, NC; brothers: Jack Calhoun, Chattanooga, TN, Joe (Eulala) Calhoun, Hoover, AL, and Jim (Helen) Calhoun, Johnson City, TN; 8 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City, TN, with Reverend Larry Caylor officiating. Those attending the graveside services are asked to meet at Roselawn by 2:00 PM on Monday.
Valley Funeral Home, Erwin, TN, is in charge of arrangements, with Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, Summerville, GA, assisting.
