Jerry Louis Stevenson, 57, Limestone, entered into peaceful rest surrounded by his family and friends on November 3, 2011, at the residence of his sister, Virginia Pirtle.
He was native of Limestone, TN, and was employed by Quint C Pallet Company in Limestone. Jerry had a very giving soul. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family, doing yard work, carpentry and entertaining others.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Albert L. and Virginia Stevenson; Brother, Albert L. “Tookum” Stevenson Jr.; Sisters: Alberta “Tina” Thomas, Fannie Mae Campbell and Ada Peeler Avery.
Survivors include 2 daughters & 1 son: Melissa Kirkpatrick Brabson, of Maryville, Talita Collins Johnson, of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Jeremy “Fess” Hall, of Greeneville; 6 Sisters: Virginia Pirtle and Mary Lucy Edwards, of Johnson City, Annette Stevenson, of Limestone, Savannah Dickson, of Jonesborough, and Virginia Wells, of Kings Mountain, NC; 3 Brothers, Douglas Stevenson, of Johnson City, Fred & Henry Stevenson, of Limestone; Nine grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2011, at 2:00 PM at New Beginning Church, 223 Opie Arnold Road, Limestone, TN.
Private Interment for immediate family only will be held at Urbana Cemetery in Limestone with Rev. Raymond Dickerson officiating.
Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on November 8, 2011, at New Beginning Church prior to the services at the church and at other times at the residence, 637 Princeton Road, Apt. 3, Johnson City, where floral arrangements can be sent.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. April Lambert-Drwiega, Dr. Martin Palmeri and staff, Hospice, everyone at Johnson City Medical Center on 7400 floor especially Mike, Mary, Davina.
