Jo Ann Feathers, Johnson City

Mrs. Jo Ann Feathers, 68, 212 Austin Springs Road, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith Wyatt Lowe. Mrs. Feathers had worked as a monitor technician for Johnson City Memorial Hospital and the Johnson City Medical Center for over 30 years. She attended the Princeton Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Feathers.
Survivors include three loving children, a daughter and caregiver, Jackie Rush and her husband, Elmer, who was like a son to her; two sons, James Feathers and his wife, Beth, of Jonesborough, and Jeff Feathers, of Johnson City; two grandchildren that she dearly loved, Sandra Feathers Salts and her husband, Forrest, and James Robert Feathers, Jonesborough; four great-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Melody Faith Feathers; three great-grandsons, Fabian, Chase and Hayden Salts; two adopted granddaughters from Davita Dialysis, Robin and Kelsey; a sister-in-law, Mary Hodge, of Johnson City; a very special friend, James Rogers, of Sevierville.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of the nurses on the 5500 wing of the Johnson City Medical Center and to Dr. Martin Tran.
It was Mrs. Feathers wish to be cremated and no formal services be held.
The family will receive friends at the home, 212 Austin Springs Road, Johnson City, at anytime.
The family will dearly miss a very special mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend in their lives.
