Betty Pullen, Athens, Ala.

ATHENS, Ala. — Betty Shirl Carter Harrison Pullen, age 71, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Pullen was born November 14, 1939, in Limestone County to Russell Carter and Minnie Clara Pitts Carter.
Services will be Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery with Jamie Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Pullen was a 1957 graduate of Prospect High School, and a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Ardmore, AL.
Preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Minnie Carter; and a brother, Billy Carter.
Survived by her husband, Robert Pullen, of Athens; two daughters, Karen Passion (Tom), of Piney Flats, TN, and Shelia Whitlock (Joey), of Elizabethton, TN; four grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca, Tyler and Beth; great-grandchild, Jonah; two sisters, Emma Jean McGill, of Pulaski, TN, and Sarah Hargrove (Norris) of Prospect, TN; one niece and six nephews; best friend, Barney; and care giver, Heather.
