Millard Hatfield, Piney Flats

Millard Gordon Hatfield, 82, of Piney Flats, TN passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 from Johnson City Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Ransom, KY and the son of the late Allen and Hulda Jane Hatfield. In addition to his parents, Millard is preceded in death by ten brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of fifty eight years, Helen M. Hatfield; daughter: Cheryl Necessary and husband Billy, Smyrna, TN; sons: Tod Hatfield and wife Wanda, Dacula, GA, Kevin Hatfield and wife Tywanna, Johnson City, and Keith Hatfield, of the home; grandchildren: Daniel and Jessica Necessary, Smyrna, TN, Geoff, Megan, and Madison Hatfield, Dacula, GA, and Helena Hatfield, Johnson City, Jacob, Delaney, and Isaac Hatfield, Canyon Lake, TX; sister: Katherine Hatfield, Cincinnati, OH; brothers: Chip Hatfield, Taylor Mill, KY, Cliff Hatfield, Spring Hill, FL. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Millard Gordon Hatfield will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 12:30 PM in the Sunrise chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with Pastor Ken Bewley and Pastor Steve Guinn officiating. Music will be under the direction of Karen Adkison. A Graveside and Committal service will follow at 2:00 PM in Mountain Home National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 and from 12:00 PM till the service hour on Wednesday. Active Pallbearers will be Tod Hatfield, Kevin Hatfield, Keith Hatfield, Geoff Hatfield, Barry Hatfield, Billy Necessary, Daniel Necessary, and Clay Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Snowden, Ornell Burker, Brandon Kent, Chip Hatfield, and the Brothers of Roan Street Church of God.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dottie and Clay Johnson, Judy and Ornell Burker, and to their extended church family for all the love and support given to them and Mr. Hatfield.
