Constance ‘Connie’ Street, Elizabethton

ELIZABETHTON — Constance Yvonne “Connie” Byrd Street, 49, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 26, 2011. in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
She was a Mitchell County, North Carolina, native. She had lived in Carter County most of her life. She was formerly employed in the Dietary department of Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
Connie was a member of the Church of Christ, Beans Creek, North Carolina. She loved to read her Bible, work in her Garden, cook, work in her flowers and enjoyed being with her children.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Street Byrd; and two brothers, Bob Street and Jerry Byrd.
Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law: April & Mark Silvers, Unicoi; A Son: Dwight Chad Street, Elizabethton; Her father: Rabe Byrd, Unicoi; Seven Brothers: David Byrd and wife, Lisa, Eddie Byrd and wife, Janet, Gibbs Byrd and Paul Byrd, all of Erwin, Daniel Byrd and wife, Janice, Jonesborough, Wade Byrd and wife, Yvonne, of Greeneville, and Charles Byrd and wife Betty, Jonesborough; A Sister: Carolyn Street, of Texas; Several Nieces & Nephews; A special friend, Mack Murray; Her little dog, Lexie.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor G.B. Garland and Pastor Stokes Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: David, Adam, Jerry and Shaun Byrd, Branson Weeks, Curtis Edwards and Seth Berry.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon Sunday until the service hour.
