Mary Katherine ‘Kate’ Broyles, Johnson City

Mrs. Mary Katherine “Kate” Broyles, age 102, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Broyles was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late Samuel and Roberta Broyles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Broyles.
She was a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church, former member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in the South Central Community and very active as long as her health permitted. She was member of the gospel group The Broyles Family.
Mrs. Broyles retired from Washington County School System after 45 years of service.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and one special niece, Eunice Ferguson.
The family would like to send special thanks to Mrs. Broyles’ caregivers and special friends, Mary Fagan, Amy Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Michaela Stockstill, Terry & Sue Britz, Bethany Bales and Caris Home Health Care, especially Kim & Nonnie.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Monte Vista Burial Park with Rev. Tae Hun Yoon officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends.
