Opal Richardson, Jonesborough

Mrs. Opal Mae Richardson, age 80, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Richardson was a native of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Bill & Geneva Dunbar Blevins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Richardson, three children, Brenda Greene, Patricia Greene and Ricky Richardson, two sisters, Charlotte Robinson and Faye Riddle and one grandson, Daniel Richardson.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Richardson was a Homemaker and had worked at the Pepper Mill Canning Company.
Survivors include two brothers, Billy Joe Blevins and Keith Blevins, both of Jonesborough; two sisters, Shirley Williford and Kathryn Robinson, both of Jonesborough; seven grandchildren, Angela Foster, Annette Clegg, Regina Tittle, Jeff Greene, Sammy Greene, Brandy Cole and Greg Richardson; special friends, Lawrence & Phyllis Coffee; twelve great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Bumpass Cove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Carter, Wayne Carter, Sammy Greene, Gideon Cole, Joey Williford, David Robinson and Brad Richardson.
