Lee Buchanan, Johnson City

Lee R. Buchanan, 73, went to be in Jesus’ arms Thursday, October 20, 2011.
Born in Elizabethton, TN, he was the son of the late Robert Daniel and Juanita Oaks Buchanan.
Mr. Buchanan was a machine operator for Snap-On-Tools, Johnson City. He was of the Pentecostal faith and received his minister’s license from United Christian Church. Lee had a strong passion for the Lord and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jasmin Buchanan; five brothers; and four sisters.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Geraldine Stiller Buchanan; children, Geraldine Horne, Al, William Lee Buchanan, Knoxville, TN, and Timothy Matthew Buchanan, Johnson City; grandchildren, Michael Horne, Brittany Horne, Rudy Buchanan, Jessica Ramsey, Hailey Buchanan and Justin Buchanan; step-grandchildren, Kenny and William; and great grandchildren, Melanie Ramsey and Jonathan Buchanan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Committal and Interment service for Mr. Lee Buchanan will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Washington County Memory Gardens with Wes Willis officiating. Everyone is asked to meet the family at the funeral home 12:15 PM on Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Primeau, Michael Horne, David Bush, Larry Buchanan and Chris Ramsey.
The family will greet friends from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM Saturday, October 22, 2011, in the Sunrise chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City.
The family would like to express their thanks to Pamela and Sandra with Mountain States Hospice and the nurses on the 2nd floor at Johnson City Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Mr. Buchanan and the family.
