Billy Kennedy, Cottonwood, Ariz.

COTTONWOOD, Ariz. — Mr. Billy Hudson Kennedy, age 74, Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Red Rock Care and Rehabilitation Center, Cottonwood, AZ.
Mr. Kennedy was born in Bristol, Virginia, and was a son of the late Hudson & Mildred Louise Hill Kennedy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kennedy was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Bernell Cox Kennedy.
He was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN, and served as a Deacon. Before moving to Arizona, he was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church, where he also served as Deacon.
Mr. Kennedy was a Machinist for Raytheon Corp. in Bristol, TN, and Sunbeam Electronics in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was a Machinist Foreman for Y-12 Plant, Lockheed-Martin in Oak Ridge, TN, and Copier Service Technician for Xerox Corp.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, golf and travel.
Survivors include his wife, Sara J. Brooks Kennedy, Cottonwood, AZ; a son, Jeffrey A. Kennedy, Colonel, (USAF Ret.) and his wife, Jana L. Kennedy, Brentwood, TN; siblings, C. David Kennedy and wife, Patricia Kennedy, Kingsport, Nancy Kennedy Blacklock and her husband, Ron Blacklock, Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Lazarowicz, M.D., and her husband, Michael P. Lazarowicz, M.D., Gainesville, FL, Jonathan A. Kennedy and his wife, Amelia A. Kennedy, Nashville, TN; great-grandson, Noah Michael Lazarowicz, Gainesville, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Thompson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service
Interment services will follow at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandson and other family members.
