James ‘Jim Tom’ Gillespie, Johnson City

James (Jim Tom) Alfred Gillespie, 206 East Myrtle Ave., was born Feb. 3, 1963, passed away Sunday evening, October 10, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a native of Limestone.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Gillespie, of Limestone, TN, and father, Starlin Perry, of Jonesborough, TN.; his children, Nicholas Gillespie, of Annapolis, MD, Brandy Gillespie, of Memphis, TN, and Michael Allen Gillespie, of Johnson City, TN; his brother, Franklin Gillespie; and sister, Melissa Perry. Also leaving several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Roxie and “Bub” Gillespie.
The family of James A. Gillespie are having a family Memorial Service for him which will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 15, 2011 at New Beginnings Church, Limestone, TN.
