Clarence Wesley ‘C.W.’ Wallace Jr., Gray

GRAY — Clarence Wesley (C.W.) Wallace Jr., age 75 of Gray, TN, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Wallace was born in Sullivan County and lived in Church Hill for several years before moving to Gray in 1980. He was a self-employed car dealer, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Tri Cities Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Susan Wallace in 2010. His parents, Clarence Wallace Sr. and Mary Kate Bombailey.
Survivors include two sons, J.W. Wallace and wife, Sharon of Church Hill, Rob Murray of Gray, daughter, Leah Wallace of Mount Carmel, grandchildren, Courtney Wallace Slemp and husband, Shannon, Josh Wallace, Rebecca Campbell and Katelyn Hill, great grandchild, Tara Slemp. Brother, Johnny Wallace and wife, Jeanette of Church Hill, sister, Sharon Rose Wallace of Church Hill. Special friends, Max Weaver, Alvin Strickler and Barbara Tunnell.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of his son, J.W. Wallace.
Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Mermilliod officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.
