Carrie Kiser, Johnson City

Carrie Gladys Kiser, age 87, of Johnson City, passed away on October 8, 2011 at Courtyards at Briarcliff in Oakridge, TN.
She was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Josie Taylor; brothers, Bobby and Wesley Taylor; sister, Beryl Barnes; and husband of 64 years, Clarence Gordon Kiser. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Mountain Home Veterans Hospital for more than 40 years. She held many offices in the American Legion Auxiliary, including serving as Tennessee State president.
She is survived by son, Robert Kiser, and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Knoxville; daughter, Nancy Crain and boyfriend, Chris Humphrey of Leavenworth, Kansas; former daughter-in-law, Beth Kennemore; former son-in-law, Dennis Crain; grandchildren, Nancy Kirby and husband, Chris; Ami Coleman and husband, Rhett, Brad Kiser and girlfriend, Jen Zonar all of Knoxville; Donna Perrin and husband Greg, of Kansas City, MO; Jennifer Revels and husband, Rob, of San Antonio, TX; Becky Hoffman and husband, Drew, of Mission, KS; and Allison Crain of Kansas City, Missouri. She is also survived by sister-in-law Charlotte Taylor of Johnson City, and fourteen great-grandchildren, Zach, Sam, and Ella Kirby, Mary Beth and Manning Coleman, Logan, Haley, Aidan, and Peyton Perrin, Christian, Nolan, Matthew and Nathan Revels, and Kelly Hoffman.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough with Rev. Heath Pressley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
