Jane Blevins, Gray

Jane Ann Fox Blevins, 72, of Gray, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruby Castle Fox and was born in Boone, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Blevins.
Mrs. Blevins was a graduate of Virginia Intermont. She was a Registered Nurse and during her career she worked at Carter County Memorial Hospital, Martin County Corrections Center, Hillview Nursing Home and Hermitage Nursing Center. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Elizabethton. She was dedicated to and loved her church, her family, and her Lord, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Steve Blevins, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jenny Blevins, Gray; a grandson and his wife, Cody and Mallory Blevins, Greenville, SC; a granddaughter, Cheanna Leigh Blevins, Gray; a great-granddaughter, Lilly; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Randal Hutchins; Jeannette and Sam Bradshaw, all of Elizabethton.
The funeral service for Mrs. Blevins will be conducted on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Tim Tapp and Rev. Jim Lindsay officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mary Lou O’Quinn. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday prior to the service.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee.
Mrs. Blevins suffered from Kidney Disease, and as her legacy, the family would like to encourage people to consider kidney donation to save someone in need.
