Angela Gouge, Erwin

ERWIN — Angela Diane Lewis Gouge, age 49, of Erwin, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at Appalachian Christian Village.
She was a daughter of Betty Crain Lewis and the late Bill A. Lewis. She was a native of Unicoi County and a 1979 graduate of Unicoi County High School.
She attended Walters State Community College, where she received a BS degree in Nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse for twenty years at JC Medical Center, Holston Valley Medical Center and in the Home Health industry. She attended Grace United Methodist Church.
She leaves behind her mother, Betty Crain Lewis; two aunts, Joyce Erwin and Nellie Lewis, both of Erwin; several cousins, dear friends, and her beloved dog, Petunia.
Graveside Services will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens, 3033 S. Roan St., Johnson City, on Wednesday, October 5th, at 2:00. Those attending should meet at Valley Funeral Home at 1:30 for the procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Crain, Jeff Crain, Ben Crain, Kenneth Shinn, Chris Edmonds and Chris Ledford. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Van Brocklin, Hunter Van Brocklin, Mark Lloyd, Mickey Weber and Joel Weber. Revered Billy Bevan Jr. and Reverend Garland James will officiate.
