Grace Booher, Johnson City

Grace Booher, Johnson City, entered into rest, Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Booher was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County.
She was daughter of the late George and Esther Woodby Wheeler and was also preceded in death by her grandson, Lucas Metcalf; two sisters; and one brother.
Mrs. Booher was a homemaker who loved caring and being with her family.
She was an accomplished painter and enjoyed many different crafts. Her favorite music was big band and Lawrence Welk in particular.
Mrs. Booher leaves her husband, Paul Booher Sr.; one son, Paul “Bud” Booher Jr. and his wife, Pam, Knoxville; three daughters, Pam Tittle and her husband, Charlie, Piney Flats, Charlotte Buckner, Ocala, FL, and Mary Booher, Greeneville; five grandchildren, Lisa Babb, Jonesborough, Whitney Riding, Jonesborough, Jerry Buckner and Cynthia Sampler, both of Griffin, GA, and Regina Buckner, Ocala, FL; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Burton, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, September 30, 2011, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 8:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City. Minister Paul Peer will officiate.
Committal services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 2:30 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
