John Rader, Johnson City

Mr. John Donald Rader, age 85, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011, at his residence after an extended illness. 
Mr. Rader was a native of Greene County, Tennessee, and the son of John Marcus Rader and Bess Wygal Rader. 
Mr. Rader was an Army veteran of WWII and served in the European Theater of Operations
After WWII he attended Tusculum College and afterwards spent most of his career in management at the Belk Company.
Mr. Rader was preceded in death by both his parents and three brothers: Harold Rader, Carl Rader and Wiley Rader, who was lost in WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virgie Phillips Rader; one daughter, Dr. Barbara Rader-Bare and husband, Ralph Bare, of Greensboro, NC; one son, John M. Rader, of Greenville, SC; and two grandchildren, Brandon Rader and Erica Rader, of the home, Greenville, SC. Lastly, a special niece, Libby Hatcher, of Erwin, Tennessee.
The Rader family would like to express their thanks to the VA at Mountain Home and Hospice for their loving care.
A private service will be at a later date.
