William Dail, Knoxville

KNOXVILLE — William (Bill) H. Dail, age 84, of Knoxville, TN, and previously of Lexington, KY, passed away at his home on September 23, 2011. He handled his battle with cancer with courage and good humor, always worrying about everyone else.
He was born in Petros, TN, and moved to Lexington, KY, in the early 1960s, where he started his own successful heating and air conditioning business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hooks Dail, in 1982.
He is survived by wife, Carolyn Williams Dail; and children, David and Martha Dail, of Georgetown, KY, Grant and Tammy Dail, of Paris, KY, Paul and Karen Szczesny, of Alpharetta, GA, Mark and Laura Dail, of Lexington, KY, and Brady and Leslie Williams, of Elizabethton, TN; along with grandchildren: Zach (wife, Tiffany), Amy, Tyler, Taylor, Jonathan, Paul Jr. (PJ), Cory (wife, Britany) and Seth Barnes; brother, Bob Dail (wife, Joan); and sisters, Lucy Dail and Bebe Coté; along with numerous friends who loved him.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 26th, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Funeral Service and Internment will immediately follow.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
